Full-Time EFL Teacher
Job Description
Jolly Academy is seeking an experienced native English Teacher to enhance our friendly staff for the 2022-2023 academic year. We are a reputable medium-size and growing English language school and certified Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre in south east Spain. Any applicant must be of a strong work ethic and willing to be guided through a dedicated academic year of real teaching. A full-time teacher during the academic year can expect to lead General English courses for children from the age of six, teenagers and adults in groups of up to 10 people at levels CEFR A2-B1-B2-C1 (Elementary to Advanced).
A love of young children is imperative along with the need to be both dynamic and eloquent in the classroom. Good knowledge of English grammar needed.
Our classes meet 2 times per week ranging from 1 to 2 academic hours per class.
Course duration varies from 60 to 95 academic hours.
General English courses for Adults and Teenagers are accompanied by Cambridge Exams preparation (KET, PET, FCE and CAE).
Teachers may also be asked to lead Corporate and Individual lessons as well.
During the summer months teachers will be asked to teach intensive courses at the centre. (optional)
We require:
Minimum: some classroom experience in EFL teaching.
Internationally-recognized teaching certificate (CELTA or equivalents, with Young Learners Extension).
Availability to work evenings and Saturdays.
Experience with children and teenagers is preferred.
Experience with Cambridge and other exam preparation (YLE, PET, KET, FCE, CAE, IELTS, TOEFL) is a plus.
We provide:
Working contract from September 1st 2022 to June 16th 2023 (or longer). Up to 30 contact teaching hours per week (morning-afternoon-evening) plus one hour weekly staff meeting.
A monthly salary of 1,200 euros net upon successful completion of probationary period. Holiday periods fully paid for as are all social security / national health payments. During the three-month probationary period we promise a guaranteed minimum salary regardless of number of hours worked.
